Evangelical Christians often talk about their "personal relationship with God," which is something that both baffles and intrigues me. A personal relationship with one's human heroes is certainly desirable, so I can understand that having a personal relationship with one's God would also be desirable. Wayne Theibaud is one of my many personal heroes of painting. NFL Quarterback Tim Tebow, a hero to many others, is a person of faith who often talks about his relationship with God. My screen print, "A Personal Relationship with God" creates a relationship between these two heroes by depicting Tim Tebow interlaced with a Wayne Theibaud painting entitled, "Refrigerator Pies.”
